Trees For Survival (T4S)
After a year of nurturing 500 seedlings in our T4S unit, the young trees and flaxes were planted out locally on the banks of the Ohinemuri River (with students from Paeroa College) and the Tarariki Stream just outside of Paeroa. Of the latter, Rebecca Dove our wonderful Enviroschools facilitator said:” A great mornings planting by Goldfields students and staff, facilitated by Trish Waugh and Mike O’Donnell from Tarariki Stream Care Group and Warren Coffey from Waikato Regional Council. Beautiful weather after rainy forecast.”
Awesome work everyone and a real thrill for our whole school to see these sustainable projects becoming a reality for our students.
